The Sotheby’s Maison is hosting a special collaboration with Lucie Chang Fine Arts, featuring original works that have defined the visual landscape of our city in their Our Bygone Days popup. Among these are the intricate manuscripts of Andy Seto (司徒劍僑), the Chief Artist behind the City of Darkness (九龍城寨) comic series.

This event serves as a rare opportunity to view Andy Seto’s original manuscripts in the prestigious setting of Sotheby’s Maison. For Culturecom, these manuscripts represent more than just the blueprint for a book; they are vital artifacts of storytelling.

The City of Darkness (九龍城寨) comic series was originally produced in 2010 by The One Comics Publishing Limited (一漫年出版有限公司), an acclaimed adaptation of Yuyi's （余兒）novel. The publishing house was founded by Toby Yue （杜比）, who currently serves as the General Manager of Citicomics Limited, a publishing subsidiary of Culturecom Holdings Limited. Following Culturecom’s acquisition of The One Comics in 2014, the City of Darkness comic remains a cornerstone of our intellectual property portfolio, and we are proud to see its artistic legacy continue to reach new heights on the global stage.
